Low Dose Naltrexone 4.5mg 30 count bottle

Low dose naltrexone (LDN) is naltrexone taken at about 0.5 to 4.5 mg a day, a small fraction of the standard 50 mg dose for opioid and alcohol dependence. At low doses it’s thought to briefly block opioid receptors, which may raise the body’s own endorphins and calm immune activity and inflammation in the nervous system.
It’s used off-label, meaning it isn’t FDA-approved for these conditions, mostly for:
- Chronic pain, especially fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome
- Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
- Long COVID and chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)
- Some skin conditions, such as psoriasis and lichen planopilaris
The research is promising but early, and most of it comes from small studies. LDN is usually made by compounding pharmacies, and side effects are generally mild, such as vivid dreams or trouble sleeping. It can’t be taken with opioid pain medications, because it blocks them.
